The Prophet's Reward

Image
The Prophet's Reward. The Faith life is a culture of existence that was designed by the intelligence of God. This faith life has inbuilt in it a system of reward, where both the server and the served, stand to benefit something from the engagement. Before we got saved, we were told that God would heal, save, deliver, prosper, give us speed, and all those beautiful things we were promised during the evangelism.  Now, we have made the switch to the kingdom and to our greatest shock, we are still sick, our financial status has not changed, neither has our delayed promotion in the office been delivered to us. And we are begin to wonder if the evangelist knows what he was advocating, or was he making claims that God could not meet? The kingdom life is such a regimented life, that runs on set principles and predetermined laws. Obedience to these, brings the blessings attached, while disobedience to them could recycle our pains. It is however sad that we want the blessings, ye...

The Equilibrium

Image
The Equilibrium God's kingdom economic system runs on a balanced premise. God abhors wastes and this is evidenced in the justification behind His creation and distribution of resources. It is still this no-waste principle that is responsible for the various shades and forms of accountability we see scattered all over the pages of scripture.  It is to this end, that God, in practice, introduced the "Economic order quantity" (EOQ).  Economic order quantity; which is a technique used in inventory management; is the optimal amount of inventory that a company should produce to meet its demand while minimizing its holding and storage costs. That means a company does not go into production because there is an abundance of raw materials that can be converted to finished goods and services, rather it produces because there is a demand for the goods and services it is producing. In order words, demand drives supply. Every profit-driven producer supplies only what is de...

The duality of resources 2

Image
At the beginning of this series, I showed us how the inflow of your income, from your source of livelihood, is a stream designed to flow into two channels of expression. I told us that the income is supposed to give; 1. Seed to the sower, and 2. Bread to the eater.  Also, I took us through the first two types of seeds, being our thoughts and our words. In this post, I'll be dealing with the remaining three. If you are yet to read the first part of this series, this is a good place to pause and go do that. So if you've read it and you're ready, then let's dig in. 3. Actions. Actions they say, speak louder than words, and where words may convey a message verbally, actions could give perspectives to the original intent in the heart of the communicator.  We live in a world where people try to make a different Impression, from what they mean to say with their words. The giveaway then becomes their actions. Have you listened to people say things with their mouths ...

The duality of resources

Image
Lionel Robbins defined economics as “the science which studies human behavior as a relationship between ends and scarce means which have alternative uses. The ends in that definition refer to unlimited wants and needs; the scarce means are the limited resources at our disposal; while the alternative uses are other options we could readily apply these scarce resources to. Man's needs as we have been rightly taught by Adam Smith, a Scottish economist, are unending and insatiable, and since we know that the resources with which to meet these needs are in short supply, we need to apply our hearts to wisdom and walk circumspectly to the end that we make the most out of the least that we have. We have seen from scriptures how dynamic God can be, in His use of resources. And we, His creation, have tried in our way to replicate the same vastness in our application of resources. Natural elements like fire, water, wind, earth, space, light, etc. have been employed differently on ...
